DECS (Dual-Layer Entangled Crisis Scenarios), at decsintel.com, is operated by Saleem Muhammad Sheikh (ABN 28 566 889 942), a sole trader based in New South Wales, Australia. This policy explains what information DECS collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with.
What we collect
Account information. When you sign in, we collect your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, your Google profile's display name. We do not build a broader profile beyond this.
What you submit. The questions and background context you type in when you create a scenario, and the analysis DECS generates in response.
Basic usage information. How many scenarios you run, used only to apply fair-use rate limits so the service stays available for everyone.
Bot protection. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish real visitors from automated traffic during sign-in. Turnstile may process some technical information about your browser as part of that check — see Cloudflare's own privacy policy for details of how Turnstile works.
How we use it
- To let you sign in and keep your scenarios associated with your account.
- To generate your analysis: the question and context you submit are sent to Google's Gemini AI service, which powers DECS's analytical agents. This is a necessary part of how DECS works — there's no way to generate a reading without your question reaching the AI service that analyzes it.
- To enforce rate limits that keep the service fairly available to all users.
- To operate and improve the platform generally.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share information with
DECS relies on a small number of service providers to operate:
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication. Your account and scenario data are stored there, protected by access controls that restrict your scenarios to your own account.
- Google (Gemini API) — processes the text of your questions and context to generate DECS's analysis. Google's own terms and privacy practices apply to this processing; see Google's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosts the DECS application itself and provides Turnstile bot protection.
We don't share your account information or the content of your private scenarios with anyone beyond what's needed to operate the service through these providers.
Your scenarios are private by default
Scenarios you create are visible only to your account unless you explicitly choose otherwise through a feature designed for that purpose. DECS does not currently have a way to make your own scenarios public — the handful of example analyses shown on the site are prepared separately by DECS, not drawn from user submissions.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your account information and scenarios are deleted along with it.
Your rights
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, and request that it be deleted. To make a request, email privacy@decsintel.com.
Children's privacy
DECS is not directed at or intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including database-level access controls that keep each account's scenarios private to that account. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by DECS.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let users know directly.
